Unleash & Collide: SuperCollider IDE preview party

14. Sep 2012 19:00

As a conclusion of SuperCollider residency where Tim Blechmann and Jakob Leben are developing a new IDE (integrated development environment) for SuperCollider - a powerful language for sound synthesis, Cyberpipe is throwing a preview party. The SC-IDE is hoped to make SuperCollider finally a cross-platform “app” (on Linux, Mac & Windows). The “party” will include a lot of (possibly live) music, informal demo and - most imporantly - free code in abundance!

Cambridge SuperCollider Users Group - Meeting

Cambridge SuperCollider Users Group - Meeting #1 Tues 14th December, 7.30pm @ The Punter

following STEIM’s lead[1] I am starting a users group in Cambridge, UK for people interested in meeting and discussing SuperCollider stuff. I’m sure that there must be some people on this list that would be interested in getting involved. The first meeting will be informal, i.e. in a pub and I’m looking to meet once a month - every second Tues.

I’m therefore proposing that we meet from 7.30pm in The Punter[2] on Tuesday the 14th of December for our first meeting. Of course, nothing should be set in stone - so if you have any enthusiastic points to make about this proposal and want to get involved then please join the Google Group here: http://groups.google.com/group/sc-cambridge.

Looking forward to meeting people in a couple of weeks,

Sam

Amsterdam SuperCollider Users Group Meeting

First Amsterdam SuperCollider Users Group Meeting

Calling all SuperCollider users!
Ever wonder if there was a more elegant approach to a piece of code you wrote? Or looking for a new UGen to give you that unique sound you’re searching for? Maybe you just want to get some constructive criticism on a piece you’ve been working on. Coming up on 22 November STEIM is very excited to be hosting the first meeting of the Amsterdam SuperCollider Users Group, organized by local SuperCollider expert Marije Baalman and users like yourself.

Date: Monday, November 22, 2010
Time: 19:00 hrs.
Venue: Steim Studio 3, Utrechtsedwarsstraat 134, Amsterdam
Entry: Free

The SuperCollider user meeting aims to bring together SuperCollider users in the Netherlands. This monthly meeting is a place to get to know other SuperCollider users of all levels of expertise, and to share and discuss this powerful audio programming language. Come present your work, either finished projects or works in progress, share the tools you have created and get feedback from other users on your work. If you have questions on how to do certain things or want to learn how to do specific things within SuperCollider, we can look into these topics together. This first meeting we’ll start out with a meet and greet of all the participants, and have presentations from some of the participants who’d like to talk about what they’ve been working on.

Please let us know by email if you’re planning on attending so that we can keep you informed: sc.amsterdam@steim.nl

STEIM will provide a studio space and PA-system for your music-making pleasure. Drinks will also be available.
happy coding
jon
